Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs and NPs with clerical duties, patient flow and procedure assistance across our multispecialty clinics. The MA will prepare examination rooms, obtain vital signs, document in EHR, and help with referrals.

The role requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, plus 0–1 year experience. BLS is required within 30 days of hire. Some travel to satellite offices may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience; BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and equipment and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and accurate vitals collection.
• Documents allergies and medications in EHR; schedules appointments.
• Provides care consistent with patient age, culture, and needs; communicates clearly.
