Job summary

Medi-Weightloss is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant in Marlboro Township, NJ to support providers and Operations Manager, delivering compassionate patient care in a welcoming clinic.

You will document vitals, assist with phlebotomy, EKGs, and IM injections, manage EMR entries, assist with scheduling, and help educate patients on wellness products.

This part-time, in-person role includes Saturday mornings, with opportunities for growth in our expanding practice.

Qualifications

Position Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you'll work closely with our providers and Operations Manager to deliver exceptional patient care while helping create a welcoming, organized, and positive clinic environment. You'll combine clinical skills with outstanding customer service to ensure every patient feels supported throughout their health journey.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs.
• Perform body composition analysis, urinalysis, EKGs, and phlebotomy.
• Administer IM injections in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Prepare laboratory orders and assist with reviewing incoming laboratory results.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical readiness.
• Assist the provider with patient care and referrals when appropriate.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Conduct follow-up calls to review progress, answer questions, and encourage patient success.
• Educate patients on supplements, wellness products, and other clinic offerings.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold clinical standards.

Patient Experience

Operations & Team Support

• Answer phones and assist with appointment scheduling.
• Support insurance verification and other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Maintain inventory of clinical and office supplies.
• Scan and upload documentation into patient records.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic.
• Participate in community outreach, wellness events, and clinic marketing initiatives to help build awareness and patient engagement.
• Assist in training new team members as requested.
• Look for opportunities to improve clinic efficiency and patient experience.

Position Details
