Trinity Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Grand Rapids clinic to support licensed clinicians and deliver high-quality patient care.

The role involves room preparation, taking vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, immunizations, point-of-care testing, pharmacology, and administrative duties. Clinical experience and MA program completion are required or preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Formación

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of accredited/approved MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC.
• Minimum: 2+ years clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift

Medical Assistants work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of licensed clinical professionals in a clinic or practice environment. MAs are expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. Be the person that makes the difference every day in our patients' lives.

What you will do:

• Room set up and patient preparation
• Taking vitals (Manual & Electronic)
• Perform EKG
• Drawing blood and giving injections and immunizations.
• Performing office tests (Point of Care Testing)
• Pharmacology
• Administrative duties
• May perform or assisting with in-office procedures / treatments

What you will need:

• Education- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of accredited/approved: MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program.
• Credentials/Licensure (Preferred): Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies:
• American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
• American Medical Technologists (RMA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
• National Healthcareer Association (CCMA)
• National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
• American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
• Related Experience- Minimum: In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills. Preferred: New graduate or 1 or more years of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
