Trinity Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time day shift in a clinic setting. You will support licensed clinicians, prepare patients, perform vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and point-of-care testing, while handling administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient visits.

Ideal candidates have a MA program with externship or EMT/Paramedic training; certifications are preferred. Experience requirements vary; strong candidates with 1+ year clinical experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with completed MA program and externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic training.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC) is preferred.
• Minimum: 2+ years clinical experience if no MA program completed; stronger with grads or 1+ year experience.

Responsabilités

• Room setup and patient preparation.

• Perform EKG.
• Blood draws; injections and immunizations.
• Office tests (Point of Care Testing).
• Pharmacology-related tasks.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Medical Assistants work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of licensed clinical professionals in a clinic or practice environment. MAs are expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. Be the person that makes the difference every day in our patients’ lives.

What you will do

• Room set up and patient preparation
• Taking vitals (Manual & Electronic)
• Perform EKG
• Drawing blood and giving injections and immunizations.
• Performing office tests (Point of Care Testing)
• Pharmacology
• Administrative duties
• May perform or assisting with in-office procedures / treatments

What you will need

• Education- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of accredited/approved: MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program.
• Credentials/Licensure (Preferred): Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC).

Related Experience

• Minimum: In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills.
• Preferred: New graduate or 1 or more years of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
