Trinity Health MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will prepare rooms, take vitals, perform EKGs, draw blood, give injections and vaccines, conduct point-of-care tests, and handle administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient visits.

The role requires a high school diploma or completion of an MA program, with preferred CMA/RMA/CCMA/NRCMA certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with completion of an MA program or externship.
• MA certification preferred; CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or equivalent considered.
• 2+ years clinical support experience may be required if no MA program completed.

Responsabilités

• Room setup and patient preparation.
• TakeVitals manually and electronically; perform EKG.
• Draw blood and administer injections/immunizations.
• Conduct point-of-care tests and basic pharmacology duties.
• Perform administrative duties and assist with in-office procedures.

Medical Assistants work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of licensed clinical professionals in a clinic or practice environment. MAs are expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

What you will do

• Room set up and patient preparation

• May perform or assisting with in-office procedures / treatments

What you will need

• Education- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of accredited/approved: MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program.
• Credentials/Licensure (Preferred): Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Healthcareer Association (CCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
• Related Experience- Minimum: In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills. Preferred: New graduate or 1 or more years of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
