M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant at the M Health Fairview Edina Urgent Care. This position will require that you are able to work every other weekend.
This is a 1.0 FTE opening (80 Hours Per Two Week Pay Period). This position qualifies for a $2000 New Hire Sign-on Bonus.

The Fairview Urgent Care teams work together to ensure we are providing the best care for our patients. With 12 different urgent care locations, you may be asked to travel to another site that is outside your “home grouping” when needed. We offer urgent care at: Andover, Bloomington–Oxboro, Brooklyn Park, Eagan, Edina, Highland Park, Lakeville, Mall of America, Maplewood, North Branch, River Falls, or Woodwinds (Woodbury). If you travel out of your home sites, we do offer a monetary incentive to thank you for being flexible.
As a member of the patients care team, Medical Assistants support quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients' Physicians or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members. You may also perform high and low-risk technical procedures during your daily work which could include: medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab draws.
