Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physician practices by rooming patients, recording vitals, and assisting with injections and medications.

You will perform EKGs and other point-of-care testing under the direction of the practice manager and physicians. This role emphasizes teamwork and compassionate patient care, with responsibilities including triaging calls and messages and contributing to check-out procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Perform s clinical duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager and physicians . Responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations
