Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in practice settings.

You will room patients, document vitals, administer injections and medications, perform EKGs and point‑of‑care tests, triage calls, and assist with checkout duties. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Experience: prior medical assistant work in vital signs, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications and perform EKGs.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and triage phone/electronic messages.
• Assist with checkout and promote teamwork within the healthcare team.

Position Summary: P erform s clinical duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager and physicians . Responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
