Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform clinical duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager and physicians.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs, and other point-of-care testing. You will triage phone calls and electronic messages, support checkout duties, and promote teamwork within the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous medical assistant experience with vital signs, EKGs, medications, and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications.
• Perform EKGs and other point-of-care testing.
• Triage phone calls and electronic messages.
• Support checkout duties.
• Promote teamwork within the healthcare team.

Position Summary

Perform clinical duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager and physicians. Responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations
