Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physician practices. Duties include rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, and administering injections and medications.

The role also covers performing EKGs and other point‑of‑care testing, triaging calls, and handling checkout processes with a focus on teamwork. Education requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in medical assisting with vital signs, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain and document vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications and perform EKGs and other point-of-care testing.
• Triage phone calls and electronic messages; perform check-out duties.
• Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.

Position Summary:

Performsclinical duties in physician practicesunder the direction of the practice manager and physicians.Responsible for rooming patients,obtainingand documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties.Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.
