Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our physician practices. You will room patients, record vital signs, administer injections and medications, perform EKGs and other point-of-care tests, and assist with check-out duties.

Our team emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork aligned with our mission. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior medical assistant experience in vital signs, EKGs, medications, and immunizations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical assistant experience in vital sign accuracy, EKGs, medication administration, and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties under the direction of the practice manager and physicians.
• Room patients and obtain/ document vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications.
• Perform EKGs and other point-of-care testing and treatments.
• Triaging phone calls and electronic messages; assist with checkout duties.

Position Summary:

P erform s clinical duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager and physicians. Responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering injections and medications, performing EKGs and other point of care testing and treatments, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, and performing check out duties. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
