Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a variable-shift, PRN Medical Assistant (MA) to support our clinic teams. This role provides patient care and assists with administrative tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Medical Assistant Non-Certified collaborates with physicians and APPs, delivering compassionate care and ensuring efficient clinic operations. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge are required.
• Preferred: Associate's degree or completion of an accredited MA program.

The Medical Assistant Non-Certified provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program.
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting supporting patient care
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
