Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, acting as both a Medical Receptionist and performing clinical duties.

The role requires 1 year of MA experience, MA certification, CPR/BLS, and preferably phlebotomy skills. We offer comprehensive benefits, PTO, and a supportive, inclusive workplace across our health centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and update health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Coordinate with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per Provider orders.
• Support care team to develop patient plans and address gaps in care.
• Handle front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data accurately in medical records and communicate results.
