Practice Overview
Our amazing team specializes in children's diabetes, thyroid concerns, hormones and a variety of other endocrinology concerns in children. Our office is made up of about 50 team members such as Physicians, APPs, RN, Certified Diabetic Educators, Registered Dieticians, Social Workers, Medical Assistants and Ambulatory Clinical Technician and a few more key players. Our team enjoys working hard together but also celebrating one another with various team appreciation events, fun Fridays and overall being a family supporting our community. Come join our inspiring, upbeat, passionate team at our Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Outpatient Clinic.
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
MAs assist with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting in procedures. Candidates for this position should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing high-quality patient care.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Successful completion of a competency based orientation program Required
5 years of relevant experience Experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting Required
Experience working as a medical assistant, paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) Required
Experience using EPIC Required
Experience as an EPIC SuperUser Preferred
Experience in Kaizen Culture/Standard Work Preferred
One of the following Required upon hire:
