About the Role
As a Noom Mindset Coach (NMC), you will provide personalized, asynchronous coaching to users across Noom’s Healthy Weight programs, including Premium, and Noom Med (GLP-1, Oral, HRT). You’ll serve as a trusted guide, helping individuals build sustainable habits and make meaningful progress toward their health and wellness goals.
This is a remote, flexible 1099-contract role ideal for experienced coaches who thrive in a structured-yet-autonomous environment. This role requires comfort with digital tools, a self-starter mindset, and a strong foundation in behavioral health, motivational interviewing, and coaching best practices.
You Will
1. Deliver Exceptional Coaching Experiences
- Establish trust-based, goal-oriented relationships with users via asynchronous messaging.
- Support users in creating and sustaining meaningful behavior change using Noom’s behavior science tools and philosophy.
- Maintain a consistent, user-centered coaching cadence with timely response times.
- Regularly review user activity (e.g., food logs, exercise, content engagement) to tailor coaching.
- Use evidence-based methods such as motivational interviewing (MI) and cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT) to facilitate change.
- Offer education, accountability, and encouragement to help users stay on track.
2. Support Retention and User Engagement
- Foster long-term relationships to increase user satisfaction and retention.
- Celebrate milestones and achievements while addressing barriers with empathy and problem-solving.
- Encourage proactive use of app features and resources to support the user journey.
- Monitor engagement and intervene when usage patterns suggest disengagement or challenges.
3. Maintain High Coaching Standards
- Stay up-to-date on Noom content, behavior change science, and coaching protocols.
- Maintain accurate user notes and documentation in compliance with Noom guidelines.
- Meet or exceed quality and performance metrics including user satisfaction (CSAT), response time (RT), and engagement targets.

4. Contribute to a Learning and Growth-Oriented Coaching Culture

You Have
- Minimum 1 year experience in health coaching, behavior change, or a related field, preferred.
- Certification in health coaching or related discipline (e.g., NBC-HWC, CHWC, ACE), preferred.
- Deep knowledge of health behavior change, nutrition, physical activity, and mindfulness.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of comfort with asynchronous coaching platforms and digital health tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to self-direct.
- Must have access to a secure, HIPAA-compliant remote work environment.
Your Key Metrics
- 1:1 Message Response Time: < 4 hours average
- Check-In Message Response Time: < 1 hour average
- Client Satisfaction Score (CSAT): > 4.5 average
- Coaching Quality Review Score: > 2.5 average
- Active Caseload: Up to 500 users
- Caseloads are dependent on identified availability, AHT and business needs
Work Schedule, Expectations, and Compensation
- While scheduling is flexible and self-directed, regular daily activity is necessary to meet coaching expectations.
- Expected availability is a minimum of 20 hours per week, maximum 40 hours per week.
- Maintain consistent availability across all days of the week to support user engagement and timely communication.
- Must be available to respond to users regularly throughout the day, across different time zones
- Maintaining availability throughout the week supports adherence to response time standards (e.g., under 4 hours for 1:1 messages, under 1 hour for check-ins).
- This approach ensures a high-quality, seamless coaching experience for all users and aligns with Noom’s commitment to responsive, user-centered support.
- Must provide and use your own HIPAA-compliant devices, including a reliable computer, secure internet connection, and any other tools necessary to perform coaching duties in accordance with privacy and security standards.
- Compensation: You will receive $5 per user per month, with an expected 240 - 480 users per month, depending on your available hours. The position is available from 20 - 40 hours per week.
- Remotely-based: This is a remote position. Work from where you want, within the continental US.
