CIS evaluates infusion services to optimize revenue and charge capture opportunities, providing value to rural hospitals nationwide.

Position Overview

Care Managers play an integral role in maintaining relationships with staff, nurses, pharmacists, referring physician offices, and patients. They serve as a single point of contact to coordinate outpatient IV infusion services across communities. The primary role is to advocate for patients, ensuring timely treatment and compliance with operational standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Patient scheduling
• Patient follow-up
• QA for referral information
• QA for nursing documentation
• Pharmacy coordination for IV medications
• Managing communication with clients, patients, and referral sources
• Handling patient financial arrangements
• Assisting with patient assistance programs
• Completing satisfaction surveys
• Rotating on-call duties
• Verifying and confirming upcoming appointments
• Managing referral fax lines and documentation
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/LVN (preferred) or equivalent
• Current Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant Certification (required)
• 3-5 years experience in IV therapy and oncology medications (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical insurance
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to undergo three-week in-person training in downtown Dallas; reliable transportation required
• Ability to work remotely adhering to HIPAA guidelines with a private workspace
• High-speed internet required prior to acceptance
