Corewell Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for outpatient clinics with travel to regional locations including Fremont, Greenville, Pennock, Reed City and Ludington. The role supports clinical teams in daily operations and resource allocation within a fast-paced physician practice.

The position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants or CHW MA Apprentice students, and requires EPIC experience, a medical assisting credential, and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• 3 years MA experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting using EPIC.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 90 days.

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work

Provides daily support with problem solving and resource allocation, clarifying root causes and driving cross functional problem solving in the team as a whole. Responsible for cost-effective utilization of employees and other resources while maintaining high standards of quality, service and satisfaction. Oversees and leads activities of non-licensed clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands‑on, in‑person clinical skills Required
• 3 years of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting working as a MA, using EPIC Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 days

• One of the following Required upon Hire:
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
