Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a physician office or healthcare setting.
• Current and valid Medical Assistant certificate / certification from an accredited training program required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required depending on location or patient population.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
• Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is required.

Aufgaben

• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to Medical Assistants and non-physician clinical staff.
• Support both front and back office operations to ensure efficient workflow and patient throughput.
• Oversee patient check-in preparation by ensuring charts are prepared, medical records are accurate and current, and required documentation is complete.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record visit information accurately.
• Explain procedures, perform treatments within scope of practice, and administer prescribed medications as authorized.
• Ensure scheduling accuracy, confirm patient appointments, and support follow-up visit coordination.
• Collect co-payments and ensure appropriate documentation and paperwork completion.
• Reconcile co-payments daily in accordance with financial procedures.
• Monitor compliance with clinical workflows, documentation standards, and operational policies.
• Participate in the hiring process, onboarding, and training of new associates.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to promote performance, engagement, and accountability.
• Conduct and/or support monthly staff meetings to reinforce policies, updates, and best practices.
• Escalate operational or compliance concerns to practice leadership as appropriate.
