Job summary

Charles River Community Health is hiring a Medical Assistant - Laboratory to perform lab sampling, phlebotomy, vaccines, and floor duties in a busy clinic. You will take histories, record vitals, and assist providers during exams.

The role requires an MA certificate, a phlebotomy certificate, BLS/CPR, and the ability to commute between Waltham and Brighton locations. On-site, full-time with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certificate required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS or CPR Certification required.
• Must maintain current Medical Assistant certification to administer vaccines.

Responsibilities

• Obtain urine and blood samples and run point-of-care tests.
• Prepare instruments for sterilization and maintain inventory.
• Oversee phlebotomy training and internal certification.
• Coordinate unit flow and monitor waiting area.
• Escort patients to examination room and record vitals.
• Perform EKGs and basic derm procedures.
• Conduct vision and hearing tests under provider supervision.
• Document patient information in charts and ensure forms are completed.
• Assist during examinations and minor procedures as needed.
• Support emergency response and team communication.
