Job summary

CGH Medical Center's Dixon Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in daily patient care. The role involves preparing patients, charting, scheduling, and patient education under supervision, with potential to perform phlebotomy and EKG leads if qualified.

Eligible candidates hold an MA certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA) and BLS within 30 days of hire; prior MA experience is preferred. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are offered for a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Current MA certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA) required.
• BLS within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Prior MA experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Phlebotomy and EKG leads experience preferred.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care under supervision.
• Assists in preparing patients to see the physician.
• Documents care and chart notes in the medical record.
• Schedules appointments and referrals; performs receptionist duties.
• Instructs patient and family regarding medication and treatment directions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
