Qualifications

• MA Certification required (CMA/RMA/NCMA)
• BLS within 30 days of hire and maintained
• Prior phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred
• Able to care for pediatric to geriatric patients

Responsibilities

• Performs basic medical care under supervision and documents care
• Prepares patients for examination
• Shares progress observations with physician
• Instructs patients and families on medications/treatments
• May chart in the provider's chart in exam room and sign-off by provider
• Schedules appointments and referrals; performs receptionist duties as needed
