Job summary

Lifeways Recovery Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, manage appointments, and support clinical staff. You will prepare examination rooms, file medical records, and assist with labs and medications, ensuring smooth patient flow.

The role requires MA training, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check; CPR/AVADE certification within 90 days is expected. Growth opportunities exist within the center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or course.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• AVADE & FA/CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: AAMA certification or AMT registration within one year.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/visitors and answer phones.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts.
• Fill out and submit insurance forms and maintain records.
• Prepare/maintain examination rooms and assist LMP during exams.
• Coordinate with LMP to obtain prescribed medications and lab work.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA/FERPA and Oregon rules.
