Job summary

Vital Med Urgent Care, LLC. seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers in examination and treatment according to established standards. You will greet patients, take history, measure vitals, and prepare exam rooms for procedures.

Role includes administering meds, performing CLIA-waived labs, assisting with imaging, and coordinating follow-ups. Must have MA program completion and CPR; DOT screening duties after onboarding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of accredited program for Medical Assisting.
• Two years medical assisting experience.
• Ability to read and write medical terminology.
• CPR certification.
• Medical Assistant Certification if certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage flow; escort to discharge counter.
• Obtain history, triage, measure vitals and chart.
• Explain procedures and prep exam room.
• Position instruments and assist physician; sterilize equipment.
• Administer injections, medications, wound care and IVs.
• Perform diagnostic tests and CLIA-waived labs.
• On-site DOT certification within 2 months; urine screens.
• Dosage calculations and charting; schedule follow-ups.
• Assist with radiology setup and basic x-rays.
