Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an NCT/Medical Assistant for CareNow to support patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. You will perform vital signs, imaging support, EHR documentation, and assist with day-to-day clinic operations, joining a collaborative team dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT, LMRT, or NCT license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house lab work and sent-out tests.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
