Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist - Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care. You will perform imaging services, vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and support check-in/out.

Must have ARRT certification and BLS within 30 days. 1+ year clinical experience, graduation from Radiologic Services, and state licensure requirements may apply. Join a team dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required
• Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required
• General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT) license in state of residency if required by the state
• BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Within 30 days of employment or promotion, must obtain and maintainstate license (if required by the state) for Office Laboratory Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
