Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in Denver seeks a Medical Assistant III to join a multi-disciplinary health care team. You will support patient care, perform lab duties, and assist with immunizations and exams in a busy clinic.

Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and able to work evenings or weekend shifts as needed. The role includes administrative and health operation tasks, with commitment to compassionate care for those experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant program or EMT/CNA training completed.
• Certification in basic life support (CPR).
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care in routine and emergency settings within scope of training.
• Communicate significant clinic information to other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care teams including medical assistants, providers, and support staff.
• Perform patient check-ins and support efficient patient flow and clinic resources.
• Obtain specimens and perform laboratory tests as directed.
• Administer immunizations and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Answer the patient assistance line and route questions to the appropriate discipline.
• Schedule appointments, X‑rays, and other studies; maintain health records.
