Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from Medical Assistant program or EMT/CNA training preferred.
• Certification in basic life support (CPR) required.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the safe delivery of patient care in routine and emergency situations.
• Communicate significant clinic information to other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary health care teams and support staff.
• Perform check-ins for all patients to achieve efficient patient flow.
• Obtain specimens and perform laboratory tests including urinalysis and glucose.
• Perform venipuncture and prepare specimens for transport to the central lab.
• Administer immunizations per clinic protocol.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Contact clients for follow-up on missed appointments.
• Answer patient assistance line and manage calls.
• Schedule appointments and imaging as requested.
• Maintain health records according to policies and protocols.
• Support administrative and health operation tasks; manage files.
