Job summary

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a Medical Assistant III in Denver to provide high-level clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced clinic. You will mentor staff, manage complex procedures, and coordinate patient care with a patient-centered, trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, injections, EHR documentation, and collaboration with providers to ensure seamless care transitions. A CO driver’s license and bilingual abilities are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years as Medical Assistant with office experience.
  • Requires bilingual English/Spanish communication.
  • Experience with advanced clinical procedures and mentorship.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical support: venipuncture, wound care, EKGs, spirometry, diabetic foot checks.
  • Administer medications/injections per clinic protocols.
  • Mentor junior staff and supervise trainees.
  • Coordinate patient care, follow-ups, labs and transitions.
  • Support team huddles and interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Assist with medical scribing and accurate EHR documentation.
  • Maintain infection control compliance and HIPAA/OSHA standards.
  • Coordinate referrals and continuity of care with partners.
  • Manage clinic supplies and workflow; support outreach when needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement and professional development.
