Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL is seeking a compassionate patient care professional to support ambulatory services and call center duties. This role focuses on patient care assistance, accurate data entry, and coordinating with providers to maintain schedule flow.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (CMA preferred), CPR certification, and the ability to report onsite within an hour of the main campus. Day shifts with occasional Saturday rotation are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical practice to assist in patient care.
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Candidate must live within 1 hour from Silver Cross Hospital main campus to ensure capability to report onsite for downtime procedure or meetings.

Responsibilities

• Answering incoming calls for all providers within SCMG.
• Routing messages correctly with attention to details within messages.
• Updating & validating patient demographics & insurance.
• Support multiple providers simultaneously to stay on schedule.
• Monitor patient messages and triage patient calls.
• Notify patients of lab results and medication refills as directed.
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications.

Position Summary

Assists in delivery of primary healthcare, patient care management, and some clerical duties (as needed) in an ambulatory environment. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Call Center Support:

• Answering incoming calls for all providers within SCMG
• Routing messages correctly with attention to details within messages

Other duties include:

Days - First Shift, Possible rotation with Saturday coverage (1 every 5/6 weeks)

The expected pay for this position is listed below: $19.45 - $24.32
