Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to support patient visits in a busy clinic. You will perform rooming, vital signs, history taking, medication reconciliation, and health screenings under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, immunizations, and coordinating referrals and scheduling. Requires HS diploma or GED and completion of an accredited MA program; two years clinical MA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Two years of clinical MA experience within the last 5 years.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming and visit tasks including vitals, medical history, and screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per standing order, and CLIA waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines following the rights of administration.
• Performs other duties such as refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
• Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, and escalation.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and functioning equipment.
• May assist training onboarding of teammates.
• May serve as a role champion or committee member.
