Indiana University Health, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinic operations in Carmel, IN. You will room patients, assist providers, and handle administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of experience, MA certification, and BLS; familiarity with OSHA/CLIA/ADA is preferred, with a focus on accurate data entry and teamwork.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or completion of a High School sponsored CTE program.
• Requires 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• New hires and promotions after October 12, 2026, require graduation from a Medical Assistant program.
• Requires a current certification in medical assisting (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, CMAC).
• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA is required.
• Knowledge of Business Unit Quality Programs and Standard Work Programs within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of standard laboratory and medical procedures.
• Knowledge of insurance plans and third-party payers.
• Ability to master standard clinical competencies per current policy and checklists.
• Basic math and accurate data entry skills.
• Must meet technical and physical standards.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients and support providers during clinic visits.
• Manage patient messages, paperwork, and prior authorizations.
• Assist with both clinical and administrative duties.
• Rooming patients and completing intake.
• Assisting providers with patient care.
• Managing patient messages.
• Scanning and maintaining medical records.
• Preparing exam rooms and supporting clinic workflow.
