Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• National certification as CMA/CCMA/RMA by AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NAHP, NHA or NCCT.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant Core Skills and related competencies.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through observation, interviews, records review, and report findings to providers.
• Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, mini procedures, prevention services, and medication reconciliation per protocol.
• Support care coordination by developing patient plans in collaboration with the team.
• Provide patient/family education and assess health literacy.
• Mentor new staff or MA students as needed.
