Job summary

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting, plus BLS and CMA certifications, and 1–2 years of MA experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• BLS Certification; CMA National Certification preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history and test results in medical records.
• Perform general office duties and liaise with other departments, advocating for patients with strong customer service.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare and stock treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
