Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1-2 years direct MA experience or medical field work required.
• BLS and CMA/National Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for providers.
• Record patients' medical history and test results in medical records.
• Answer phones, take dictation, or complete insurance forms; liaise with departments and advocate for patients.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms, keep them stocked and clean.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
