Indiana University Health in Bloomington seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision. You will perform rooming, vitals, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing, while maintaining EMR accuracy and handling registration and scheduling duties.

The role requires MA certification or active enrollment, BLS, and knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding. You will participate in team precepting and adhere to clinical policies.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS certification required for healthcare workers.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification(s) are required or preferred.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Accurately document patient information in the EMR.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and basic labs.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood specimen collection.
• Register and schedule appointments per procedures.
• Maintain EMR files and handle frontline office tasks as needed.
• Precept MA team members or externs when requested.
