Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide high-quality clinical and administrative support in outpatient and hospital-based settings. The MA will ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and patient education while following HIPAA and safety standards.

This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with no nights or weekends. Candidates should have a medical assistant program credential, BLS, and experience with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certification or registration (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or equivalent) required.
• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems (Epic, Athena, Cerner, or equivalent).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive patient intakes, including vitals, histories, and allergy review.
• Assists providers during examinations, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostics.
• Performs EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection per policy.
• Maintains infection control and safety protocols.
• Documents data in the EHR accurately.
• Schedules and tracks patient appointments and referrals.
• Verifies insurance coverage and assists with prior authorizations and billing.
• Supports care coordination across clinical settings.
