Job summary

Advocate Health's Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Internal Medicine: Winston East is hiring a Medical Assistant for a full-time role in Winston-Salem. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, providing patient care, rooming, vitals, and lab duties under supervision.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, POCT, medication administration, and coordinating referrals as needed. Successful candidates will have MA certification, BLS, and 2+ years of clinical MA experience,

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• Must complete Atrium Health competency assessment.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming, vital signs, history taking and screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture, specimen collection, labeling, and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely per policies.
• Maintains clean, stocked work area and supports team communication.
