Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Wake Forest Health Network: High Point Palladium – Immediate Care. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role supports physicians and APPs in a fast-paced outpatient clinic in High Point, NC.

Requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and national certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or equivalent). BLS is required; 1 year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA etc.) required/preferred.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams, obtain vital signs and collect health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assist physicians/APP with procedures such as pelvic exams, testing, or minor surgeries.
• Administer routine medications under physician orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and test requests, relay information to patients and team.
