Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care in a busy clinic environment. You will prepare patients, assist with exams, administer medications, and support clerical tasks to keep the care team efficient.

The role requires a high school diploma, MA training, and BLS certification within 90 days. You will work with EPIC EMR and participate in continuous quality improvement alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months MA experience or completion of MA/NA program.
• Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days of hire.
• BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MA procedures under provider supervision and within MA scope of work.
• Prepare patient for rooming and exam.
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Perform suture/staple removal and dressing changes.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Provide basic education to patients.
