Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support clinical teams in a busy Fort Wayne clinic. You will room patients, collect intake data, and assist providers with patient care and administrative tasks.

The role requires CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification and BLS, with ambulatory experience preferred. The position follows a 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday schedule in Indiana.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required.
• Current certification in medical assisting from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• TB validation or within 6 months of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and support providers during clinic visits.
• Manage patient messages, paperwork, and prior authorizations.
• Assist with both clinical and administrative duties.
• Rooming patients and completing intake.
• Assisting providers with patient care.
• Documenting in Cerner EMR.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Managing patient messages and records.
• Scanning and maintaining medical records.
• Prepare exam rooms and support clinic workflow.
