Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited medical assisting program (330 hours).
• Must maintain current certification from AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA or AMT or equivalent.
• AHA BLS required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination: vitals, history, and room setup.
• Assist physicians and staff; prepare rooms and maintain supplies.
• Perform ECGs and point-of-care tests per policy; document in EMR.
• Handle front desk tasks: registration, scheduling, charting, discharge paperwork.
