Job summary

Responsibilities include exams support, basic procedures, injections, medication documentation, and patient education. The role requires a high school diploma, approved medical assisting program, and BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completed medical assisting program with 330 clock hours
• Certification or registration with a recognized body (AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT)
• AHA BLS required; ability to obtain before end of orientation
• Knowledge of insurance specifications and medical terminology; ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and measure vital signs
• Assist physicians and staff; maintain exam rooms and supplies
• Perform injections and other tests following policies and safety rules
• Handle front-office duties: registration, scheduling, and medical records
• Document information in electronic medical records and coordinate with care teams
• Assist in discharge processes, referrals, and patient education
