Job summary

NeighborHealth in Boston’s South End Washington Family Med is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant-II to support providers and manage patient flow. The role includes assisting with clinical duties, recording vitals, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

You will perform patient care tasks, prep for clinics, and assist with lab work and equipment handling while maintaining patient comfort and safety. A CMA program graduate with bilingual skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and a CMA program graduate.
• One year of Medical Assisting experience preferred.
• One year of Customer Service experience.
• Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Vital signs.
• Pulse oximetry.
• Use of O2 equipment.
• Obtaining EKGs.
• Laboratory studies such as glucometer, urine dip stick urinalysis and others as requested.
• Cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization.
• Operates autoclave and documents each load.
• Prepares for assigned clinics and supports providers throughout sessions.
