Boston Medical Center seeks a Medical Assistant I to join the Ambulatory Multispecialty Methuen team. You will support providers, room patients, take vital signs, and document thoroughly in the EMR to ensure seamless visits.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, reliable scheduling, and patient-centered care. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of clinical experience, with preferred MA program education or CMA certification.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of clinical experience in a medical setting.
• Preferred MA program education or CMA certification.

Responsabilidades

• Rooms patient and prepares for the provider visit.
• Takes vital signs and records data in the EMR.
• Records patient history and prescription information in EMR.
• Obtains required consents and completes forms for visits.
• Performs in-office testing and EKGs as needed.
• Assists providers with in-office procedures.
• Labels specimens and adheres to policy.
• Administers vaccines and medications as ordered.
• Follows care workflows and schedules patient visits.
• Manages supplies and monitors refrigerator temperatures.
• Answers calls, triages, and routes messages as needed.
• Reviews pre-visit information and coordinates testing.
