Qualifications

• Assist with vital signs, patient intake, and documentation.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist healthcare providers during visits.
• Explain procedures and provide patient education materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior Medical Assistants with day-to-day questions and onboarding training.
• Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, measure vital signs, and record data.
• Explain treatments, medications and instructions; provide educational materials.
• Perform general office duties and liaise with other departments while advocating for patients.
• Collect laboratory specimens and prepare for testing.
• Provide immunizations when applicable with required certification or supervision.
• Improve departmental quality initiatives such as two patient identifiers and hand hygiene.
