Job summary

IU Health Bloomington Primary Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support direct patient care and clinic operations. You will room patients, obtain vital signs, and perform point-of-care testing while coordinating with providers and the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification required.
• AHA BLS for healthcare workers is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Strong communication and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficient in standard front-office tasks and EMR data entry.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Manage patient phone calls and provider message pools.
