Qualifications

• AHA BLS certification required; other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policy.
• Current certification in medical assisting from CMA/AMT/NCMA/CCMA/CMAC as listed.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• High school diploma or equivalent; MA program preferred; certification strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.
• Managing and responding to patient/provider messages.
• Supporting clinic workflow and patient care coordination.
• Assisting providers with daily clinical operations.
• Maintains EMR files and performs front office functions as needed.
