Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant II to support our Family Medicine practice in Walpole, MA. The role involves direct patient care, arranging exams, and assisting physicians with both clinical and non-clinical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include vitals, phlebotomy if qualified, patient education, and coordination with nursing staff. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS CMA preferred, and 1–2 years of MA experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent or MA degree preferred.
• Licenses/Credentials: BLS Certification and CMA preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in MA or medical field required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Show patients to examination rooms and interview patients to obtain medical information.
• Explain treatment procedures and organize educational materials for patients.
• Perform general office duties and liaise with departments while advocating for patients.
• Collect blood and other specimens; log and prepare for testing; phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain immunization inventory and check expiration dates; administer immunizations when certified.
• Support quality initiatives and ensure patient safety measures in the clinic.
