Job summary

You will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff, while handling routine office duties and basic specimen collection. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years MA experience, BLS, and CMA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1-2 years direct MA experience required.
• Licenses: BLS Certification and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history and vital statistics in medical records.
• Perform general office duties and act as liaison with other departments and advocates for patients with a positive customer service approach.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping rooms neat and supplies stocked.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
