Job summary

University HealthCare Alliance (UHA) is seeking a Medical Assistant II to join Stanford Medicine Partners. The role supports the clinic care team, performs Level I clinical tasks, manages patient portal messages, assists with procedures and referrals, and coordinates disability paperwork and Rx processing for timely patient care.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of related experience, a Medical Assistant diploma, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. Medical Assistant Diploma from an approved school/institution or equivalent documented training.
• One (1) to three (3) years of related experience.
• Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Performs independently all Level I duties and supports clinic patient care as part of the care team.
• Manages patient portal and inbox messages; assists with physician procedures and referrals.
• Coordinates disability paperwork, Rx refill processes and prior authorizations; supports telemedicine and scribing as needed.
